Inanimate Rite

I live alone in an apartment, and earlier today, my mother gifted me a doll along with an egg and a small cage to celebrate Easter. However, things took a strange turn when the doll started moving around the house at night, even disappearing at times. I’m not sure if it’s just my insomnia playing tricks on me, but my mother warned me to always place the egg in its proper place if anything unusual happens. I don’t understand what she meant—perhaps it’s some kind of ritual to keep the dolls inanimate. Despite my confusion and fear, I feel compelled to follow her instructions, hoping it will stop the unsettling occurrences.
