Lost In Underworld

It started with a stormy afternoon. I was playing outside, running across the muddy field near the woods, when my foot slipped near a tree whose roots had been exposed by the heavy rain. The ground beneath me gave way with a loud crack, and before I could scream, I was falling—tumbling into darkness. When I finally landed, the world around me shimmered with an eerie red glow. The cave was strange and quiet, and ahead of me stood four tiny figures—like dwarfs from fairy tales, wearing strange mining gear. One of them gasped, pointing at me. “You… you falled from the sky! Like the sky got a boo-boo!”

They were the Diglets—tiny digger folk who had been trapped underground after awakening strange creatures while digging for “spinny-things” to fix their flying submarine. Their world was filled with glowing tunnels, sleeping monsters, and stories of lost friends taken by beasts beneath the soil—cyclops-like brutes who dragged them under before help could come. The little one handed me a shovel and a glowing torch. “Can you help us find the eight spinny-things? Then we’ll help you go back home, promise!” I nodded slowly, glancing up at the crack of light far above. My strange journey had just begun.
